Hello! Spring is on the way, and I’m happy to share that I had my first exhibition of the year at Café deVille in Schorndorf, where I presented my series “THIS IS AMERIKA.”
I would also like to invite you to Ateliertag in Schorndorf, where I will be participating as a guest artist in Ebba Kaynak’s atelier.
In addition, I’ve been working on a new series, which will be presented at Ateliertag in Schorndorf on April 19, 2026.
Ausstellung "THIS IS AMERIKA": 02.03 - 30.04.26
Café deVille: Beim Brünnele 5, 73614 Schorndorf
"THIS IS AMERIKA" is a glimpse into an alternate reality. The focus is on some of the most dangerous and poorest areas of Chicago, but instead of showing them as they are, they are viewed through rose-colored glasses: imagined as how they could look in an ideal world.
Bright, vibrant colors replace the otherwise predominant muted grays and dark tones. Looking beyond the surface reveals a beauty and hope that are not immediately visible.
The original references appear bleak and hopeless at first glance, yet here an attempt is made to capture their potential for something far more joyful.
The series is about reinterpreting these places and evoking a positive atmosphere: a blend of hope and a daydream.
